Community first: Impacts of community engagement (CFICE) aims to strengthen Canadian communities through action research on best practice community-campus partnerships. In order to accomplish this goal, CFICE has five distinct hubs that conduct research in poverty reduction, community food security, community environmental sustainability, violence against women, and knowledge mobilization. CFICE is managed by Carleton University and Canadian Alliance for Community-Service Learning (CACSL).
CFICE Connections is the blog that is operated by CFICE for the purpose of communication across Hubs. The blog contains not only information on what research is currently being conducted across Hubs, but also information on events.
